Went to customer site visit for new X-Pro machine setup. Spent 1 day on-site, getting tool setup…and leaving my tool box behind ๐
But, turns out shipping it back FedEx was cheaper than Southwest charges for checked baggage, so that’s a win, right?!!?
I didn’t do a great job at capturing the changing autumn colors, but I assure you, it was amazing! I got to drive into the customer site in the morning on an hour long drive, with the sun shining behind me. I saw the images you would see in puzzle boxes. The perfect landscape, beautiful farm buildings, rolling hills of grass, corn fields, and picturesque ponds and lakes.

Southwest has a direct flight from Saint Louis to Minneapolis / St. Paul. However, the timing of the offered flight was not going to work well on the trip out. So I opted for the longer flight, with lay-over and change of planes in Chicago. And, not only did that get me the board/depart times I needed, but it also got me to opportunity to enjoy a true* Chicago Hot Dog!
(*some will notice it is missing tomato so not a true chicago style dog. But I assure you, with that nasty edition, I would no longer enjoy it)
I did get the direct flight home, and due to the short duration and turbulence we were only served water and no snacks. The good news?…this was the first flight the wi-fi actually worked. Looking forward to Southwest switching to Starlink service later next year.

While I truly enjoy taking care of our customers and getting their systems up and running, the best part of my first 3 trips so far has been getting to visit friends. This time, it was a former Brewer buddy, Paul. I found out on a Friday I was heading out and we met up Sunday. Grateful for the time we got to spend on such short notice.
